Baja SAE California Results

The CWRU Motorsports team managed to bring Cleveland weather to the California desert.  During the cold and wet competition (there was even hail), the team made it through all of the static presentations and dynamic events with decent placement.  Come Sunday, the Endurance course was a muddy mess for the race start

In the first hour of the race, one of the car's front suspension uprights failed and a tire was punctured when entering the aggressive rock pit.  The team made quick repairs and got the car back into the race, where the car ran without issue, even with 200 pounds of added weight in mud towards the end.  Despite the drawbacks the team faced, the final results remained impressive: 15th place in Endurance, earning the team the ranking of 13th overall at the 2019 Baja SAE California competition.  The final points total was only 13 points away from earning a top 10 ranking, making the team more eager than ever to show their strength at the upcoming Rochester competition and reach their goal of ranking in the top 10.
